Canada announced New Immmigration Pathways as Enhanced Caregiver Pilot Program.
On June 2, 2024, the IRCC announced two upgraded caregiver pilots in recognition of the nation’s need for more caregivers.
The Home Support Worker Pilot and the Home Child Care Provider Pilot, two successful pilot programs that concluded in June 2024, will be replaced by the new program.
The IRCC granted home care workers permanent residency (PR) upon their arrival in Canada, in contrast to earlier schemes.
