The study permit is a document that allows foreign nationals to study in Canada. Most foreign nationals need a study permit to study in Canada. Applicant must apply for a study permit before arriving to Canada. Some people can apply a study permit within Canada as well and in some cases, can apply at the time of arriving at the port of entry.

    Eligibility

    You can study in Canada If You,

    • Get admission in DLI approved Institution
    • Enough funds to pay your: Tuition fees, Living expense for your self, and Return Transportation for your self
    • No criminal record /History (Since last 10 years)
    • Clear Medical History
    • Prove to an officer that you will leave Canada when your study permit expires

    Documents Requirements

    When applying for your study permit, you and each family member who comes with you to Canada must have

    • Proof of Identity
    • Proof of financial support
    • Statement of purpose or letter of explanation so officer can understand your future goals.
    • English Proficiency Test
    • CAQ certificate (if admission approved from Quebec Institution)
    • Declaration (If any specific case )
    • Custodian declaration (for minors)
    • Other documents

    Process

    The student can apply with the online study permit application or paper-based application.

    After You apply:

    • Request for submitting the Biometrics
    • Process further study permit application
    • Declare the result within the time period
